These are excellently crafted braces, made with substantial elastic – I'd confidently say they are 'built to last'. I will certainly be returning to purchase again in other colours.
Also, the Gents Shop's level of service is exemplary – dispatch, delivery and communications were top notch.
Many thanks.
These braces are the best I have had in a very long time. The improved way the leather ends are connected to the braces have saved me a great deal of frustration and embarassment when compared with the types which are just fed through a loop.
Well made, nice braces, promptly delivered.
I’m new to wearing ‘proper’ braces. As a man of a certain age, I find a belt no longer does the job, constantly slipping down past where my waist used to be. This resulted in buying a fancy micro adjustable belt which l ended up just tightening a bit more each time it slipped, resulting in discomfort. I tried clip on braces which worked well but weren’t very stylish for me and the clips were a bit unreliable. So, l went to a tailor and got some buttons fitted to a few pairs of jeans and trousers. I bought a pair of their one size fits all braces. They did fit, but the adjustment buckle me ended up at my collar bone due to l think, the poor quality elastic. When the stitching gave way at the back, l got a refund. Next up, being ex military and knowing what l could expect, l got some no2 dress braces on eBay. The companies sizing was all wrong and they were too short. The quality was what l would expect, except for the buckles which were very poorly made and virtually useless with too many sharp edges.
So, next up, for not a lot more money, was the pair l bought from Gents Shop. They are a lot higher quality than the ones from the tailor. The standard size fits me perfectly. I also like that fact they are made in the UK, which is worth paying extra in my book.
A promptly delivered real quality product well worth the money, overall a very satisfied customer and will be ordering another pair.
